Happy St. Patrick's Day!

In recognition of Read Across America and in the spirit of the joy in reading, the middle school students participated in their first Book Trailer Tuesday. During this event, the students were treated to a premiere of the novels, "Trevor Noah: Born a Crime" by Trevor Noah and "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer.
After a class discussion on the viewing, students were asked to reflect and select the book they were most interested in reading. Results for the first of the four-week event showed that both books were in demand with "Cinder" receiving 23 votes and "Trevor Noah: Born a Crime" receiving 19 votes.
Next week's Book Trailer Tuesday features "Dry" by Neil Shusterman and "Becoming Muhammad Ali" by James Patterson and Kwame Alexander.

Thank you Mayor McDonough for helping us celebrate Read Across America week!

Along with approximately 50 other students from Warren County, the Hope School fifth and sixth grade gifted and talented students spent the day learning about music, motion, and rhythm at the Villa Roller Rink.
After a STEM presentation and activities, the students took their skating skills to the rink. This program was sponsored by the Warren County Consortium for Student Enrichment.

Students made lion pancakes today focusing on life skills (measuring, cutting, and assembling) as well as exposure to healthy balanced meals.
