TEACHER OF THE YEAR

2001 - 2002

Julie Spicer

Mrs. Julie Spicer has been selected as the Outstanding Teacher for the Year for the Hope School District.  A graduate of the University of Florida, with a degree in Elementary Education, Mrs. Spicer joined the Hope faculty in 1997, as a Kindergarten teacher.

Mrs. Spicer's classes reflect her joy of teaching as seen in the enthusiasm from her students.  Whether the students are practicing to write letters in chocolate pudding or teaching money values by having students visit a "stuffed" animal pet store,  Mrs. Spicer is diligent in incorporating the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards into her daily lessons. Mrs. Spicer has also organized a parent program called "Kindergarteners are Special - Handle with Care."

Mrs. Spicer enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.  Hope Township School is proud to have Mrs. Spicer as a member of the of the faculty.
