Hope Township School

 

New Staff

2003-2004

Hope Township School would like to welcome our new faculty members, Mrs. Oddo, Mrs. O’Meara, Mrs. Schott, Mrs. Francis, and Mrs. Heleine for the 2003-2004 school year.

 

Mrs. Jenette Oddo teaches Kindergarten and both PreK 3 and PreK 4 year old classes. Mrs. Oddo previously taught Kindergarten in the Connetquot Central School District in Islip, NY..  Mrs. Oddo was a member of the Kindergarten Curriculum Writing project in that district as well.   Prior to that experience, Mrs. Oddo taught reading skills to at-risk first grade students which enabled them to become successful independent readers within the William Floyd Union Free School District in Moriches, NY. Mrs. Oddo attended SUNY at Stony Brook for her undergraduate degree and received her Masters of Science in Elementary Education from Dowling College in New York.  Mrs. Oddo resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, George.  Her hobbies include reading and spending time with family.  Mrs. Oddo is already settling into the Hope Township School and is quite eager to become part of our wonderful community.

Mrs. Mary Schott has been hired as a classroom aide and lunch aide. She comes to Hope School with eleven years experience teaching preschool and 2 years experience as Director of Daycare at Little Seaters Daycare and Preschool in Washington.  Mrs. Schott has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from East Stroudsburg University and she will be working in Mrs. Collins’s preschool class. Mrs. Schott resides in Warren County with her husband Bart and daughter Jocelyn.  Mrs. Schott’s interests include camping and skiing. She can also be seen at the Buttzville United Methodist Church, where she is the organist.

Mrs. Sharon O’Meara is the second of two classroom aides hired for this school year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Mount St. Mary’s College in Maryland, and has recently worked in the Allamuchy school system as an aide. Mrs. O’Meara also lives in Warren County with her husband Patrick and children Grace and Collin, ages 20 months and 7 months!  Mrs. O’Meara’s hobbies include writing, playing guitar and exercising.

Ms. Joan Heleine has joined the Hope School Child Study Team and is our new School Social Worker.  Ms. Heleine received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Education from Russell Sage College and her Masters in Counseling from Montclair State University.   Ms. Heleine has worked as the school social worker in Barnegat Township Schools and more recently, Great Meadows schools. In the private sector, Ms. Heleine continues to work as a mental health counselor and consultant for the North Jersey Health Relief and Pain Center in Hackettstown. Ms. Heleine lives in Warren County and has a grown son who lives in Fairlawn. She enjoys her cats, skiing, swimming and reading.

Mrs. Terrell Francis is familiar to our students already as “the lunch lady.”  This year her duties have been extended to that of a classroom aide as well. Mrs. Francis lives right here in Hope and has children in our school.  Outside of school, Mrs. Francis keeps busy with girl scouts and the Hope PTA. She also enjoys reading, bowling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Hope School would also like to welcome Ms. Joan Henicheck, an employee of Dowling Foods, who will be working in the cafeteria with Mrs. Klauder.  We are happy to have her on board!
